Morning Briefing – 6:30 AM
The day starts early in the heating and cooling business, especially when Minnesota weather can swing from one extreme to another. After grabbing my morning coffee, I head to A-All Temp’s headquarters for our daily team briefing. We review the day’s service calls, discuss any emergency repairs from overnight, and ensure our service vehicles are fully stocked with essential parts.
First Calls – 8:00 AM
Today’s schedule includes:
• Seasonal HVAC maintenance in Bloomington
• Furnace inspection in Eden Prairie
• Air conditioning repair in Plymouth
Mid-Day – 12:30 PM
Between service calls, I take a quick lunch break in my van. Being a technician means staying flexible – comfort emergencies don’t wait for convenient timing. I use this time to update service records and prepare for afternoon appointments.
Afternoon – 2:00 PM
The afternoon brings preventative maintenance visits. These are crucial for:
• Extending system lifespan
• Improving energy efficiency
• Preventing unexpected breakdowns
• Ensuring safe operation
End of Day – 5:30 PM
Before heading home, I complete my service reports and prepare for tomorrow. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable, regardless of what Minnesota weather throws at us.
Working in residential HVAC service means being part problem-solver, part educator, and always ready to adapt. It’s satisfying knowing that each day, we help families maintain comfortable, safe homes throughout all seasons.
